The Need For Environmentally Friendly IAQ / Mold Solutions
|
|
Medical research has shown that molds, bacteria and viruses, which are simple and single celled organisms, have the ability to form an immunity to chemicals and other antimicrobial cleaners.
This may explain why molds have increased in numbers, have become more aggressive and are harder to control. Mold's ability to change its DNA make up as a means of survival is referred to as "Antimicrobial Resistance".

Antimicrobial Resistance has been a fact in the medical and scientific communities for over 50 years. With this fact, the need for more natural and environmentally friendly solutions are being sought to resolve the recent onslaught of mold problems. HBIA began researching environmentally friendly solutions for eliminating microbial contamination in indoor environments in one of the primary fields that call for sterile environments, the medical industry.
Environmentally Friendly Medical Based Solutions
Sterilizing medical facilities, surgical tools and clean room environments has never been more important. More health care industry leaders are utilizing oxygen therapy to sterilize their facilities and equipment. After researching the years of success in the medical field, HBIA is utilizing oxygen therapy to eliminate and prevent mold, bacteria, viruses and other indoor contaminants.
These environmentally friendly systems sterilize both airborne and surface contamination using the natural process of "oxidation".
How Does Oxygen Therapy Work?
Oxygen Therapy Systems create multi-molecular oxygen. These multi-molecular oxygen atoms will attack and destroy (oxidize) harmful indoor contaminants, such as molds, bacteria and viruses.
"Oxidation" is the natural enemy of these microbial contaminants. These microbes cannot form an immunity to the oxygen atom as they do with chemical compounds and cleaners. Atoms of Oxygen can be dispersed throughout an indoor environment to kill virtually all microbial contaminants, including airborne spores and surface growth.
Which Would You Prefer In Your Home or Office, Oxygen or Chemicals?
Have you ever tried to remove mold growth with household cleaners or a chlorine solution. In many cases, molds will begin growing back in a few weeks or less. The same has been found with antimicrobial paints, sealers and chemical foggers. While the initial application may inhibit mold growth, spores may adapt to these chemicals and grow back more resistant than before.
Oxygen Therapy Systems are an environmentally friendly process, that more than meets the challenges presented by the increase of molds in recent years. HBIA stands behind this process as the safest and most effective method of resolving indoor air quality and mold problems.
